POSITION
Summary:
Provide electrical, instrumentation, and computer support to operate the regarded facility in the safest, cost effective manner. Repairs, calibrates, and tests instruments such as gas chromatography, temperature controlling and recording gauges and process instruments by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
Perform at the direction of plant supervision all required maintenance, repair, calibration, programming, and installation of plant electrical, instrumentation, and computer equipment.
Maintain maintenance records on all major E.I.C. equipment in respective plants(s)
Maintains and repairs the automated loading/unloading system at the truck rack at the respective plant.
Tests instruments for resistance, voltage, and other characteristics.
Disassemble instruments and examines parts for defects
Repairs or replaces defective parts of instruments
Reassembles instruments; tests new and repaired instruments
Keeps a record on repair and calibration of instruments
Inform plant supervisor of EIC plant status on a daily basis
Know all safety and emergency procedures for plant operations and maintenance
Assists in writing maintenance procedures for Process Safety Management
Works with all positions at plant and outside contractors
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation and Computer support in a plant environment.
Experience with repairing, calibrating and testing instruments
Knowledge of plant safety and emergency procedures
Experience writing maintenance procedures
Experience testing instruments for resistance, voltage and other characteristics

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Materials and Equipment Used:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
